JASY Camp 2017

Every child has a dream and a right to be all that he or she can be. Since 2007, a Mission team that is committed to making dreams come true has traveled to Kingston, Jamaica. The groups run a week-long sports camp, called JASY, for 140 destitute but deserving children who live in shanties located in the Riverton dump in Kingston, Jamaica.

 

Everyone in Jamaica is extremely proud of the success of the Jamaican Track and Field team in the Olympics. While not everyone can be an Olympic athlete, every child in Riverton hopes for an opportunity to learn new skills, meet new friends, and be recognized for his or her own special talents. These are the opportunities that JASY Camp provides.

 

JASY utilizes sports training as a vehicle to improve self-esteem, physical well-being, teamwork, Christian values and cross-cultural learning. Our goal is to serve these children of God and share with them God’s love, joy and promise of a better future
